The company patented a technology it calls HydroDyn. == Patented technology == HydroDyn is a process that originated from the refiner technology used by the timber and paper industries. Contaminated plastic wastes are purified within a closed-loop water circuit. A hydrodynamic friction washing process decontaminates plastics, leaving them free from cellulose and adhesives. The process uses no chemicals, reducing contamination of the environment and decreasing costs. In 2007 the first recycling plant with HydroDyn technology was built for the waste management company Sita near Leipzig in Germany. The plant did not work as planned, and was closed in 2008.
